UE has option that can be used to force an UE to select only LTE cell .

If one selects 4G Prefered , then it first attempts to camp of 4G Cell, if it fails then it camps on 3G. The way you do it ( NEXUS 5 :: goto Preferred Network type and select accordingly ), if there is something called PRL list which gives to more options. The way you access prl is dail *#*#4636#*#* , this might change operator to operator but in case of airtel it works for me.

if you look into 5G BW it is huge than 4G why is that required,if you can achieve more data rate in less BW why do we need more BW in 5G

Configured to auto mode, an LTE modem will fall back to 3G/2G in bad signal conditions. When it falls back (hands over to 2G or 3G), does it need to make a new PPP dialup connection?
