Shopping can present a terrible dilemma, the new couple discovered. Three pounds of potatoes and two pounds of eggplants cost $2.25. Or they could just buy eggplants for the same amount of money and make a casserole out of all those eggplants. But potatoes are cheaper than eggplants.
