Two cars are hired to escort two groups of friends to the same destination. The first car sets off 10 minutes before the second car and both cars travel the same journey. If the first car travels at 45 km/h and the second car travels at 90 km/h, how many kilometres from the starting point will they draw level?

let the distance be x. Then the first car will take a time of x/45 hr and the second one x/90 to travel. Thus
x/45=x/90+1/6 gives x=15 kilometer. 1/6 is for 10 minute starting time difference

Will meet after 15 kns.
