Its Simple maths
A = E/4
B = E*4
C = E-4
D = E+4
So A+B+C+D = 100
=> (E/4)+(E*4)+(E-4)+(E+4) =100
=> (E/4)+4E+E+E+4-4 =100
=> E/4+4E+2E =100
Now taking LCM as 4
E+16E+8E/4 = 100
25E = 100*4
E = 400/25
E = 16
