distance of point P from the foot of the tower is=173.2050

Adding the working of the solution
tan 30 = 1/sqrt(3)

Lets assume distance of pole is d and height is h
Tan A = h/d
Tan 30 = 100/d
d = 100/(Tan 30)
d = 100* sqrt(3)
d = 173.20m
