surrogate key is one type of key which is used to maintain history .
it is used in slowly changing dimension (scd).

If u have mulitiple records then for mentain this records we need to generate surrogate key in informatica .

Its mainly used to maitain the uniqueness in the target system that contains records from various source systems ie. different source system may contain different keys as a primary key.

I am trying to solve an Informatica problem

I have two tables: Table A and Table B have the following structure

Table A
A_Key
A_Name
A_Address

Table B
B_Key
B_Name
B_Address
A_Key (Foreign Key)

I need to make sure that Every A_Key in Table B exist as A_Key in Table A.

Since I am new to Informatica Data Quality tool, I am trying to find the logic how I can implement this.

One logic that I can think is creating Rule

Does anyone have a better solution?

In my Informatica mapping, I need to do the following activities:

1)creating 'A' volatile table

2)inserting records into 'A' table, from 'B' normal table

3)Again I want to insert records into 'C' normal table using 'A' volatile table.

How to do that?

Teradata : JANUVIA - 50MG – TABLET - 1 BLISTER - 28 TABLET (28.TA) ORacle: JANUVIA - 50MG ? TABLET - 1 BLISTER - 28 TABLET (28.TA)

We are using code page 'ms windows latin 1 (ansi) superset of latin1' for source connection i.e. Teradata.
