I would like to know the releationship between eNodeB, Cell and Sectors in LTE.

And if we have 2 cells running under same eNodeB, will both cells have different antennas ?

Please help me to understand the above concepts. Thanks in advance.

ENodeB is a baseband unit which can have multiple radio units in different directions.

Now coming to sector unlike UMTS, in LTE a sector is assigned a frequency band. Each sector is assigned a PCI - primary cell identification (Each frequency band has 12 sub-carriers to distribute data & signalling) and Every sector is a cell. (Each carrier is a cell in UMTS)

Thanks for the reply. Does sector means the antenna on the eNodeB ? My understandings are as follows..

one eNodeB can have multiple cells and each cell can have multiple sectors.
Correct me if i am wrong.

I went through 36.331 spec, there are various terms such as Srxlev, Q-hyst and so on are used.
Can someone please give a brief overview of all the terms used during the cell selection and cell re-selection procedure ?

While deploying or making lab setup what all things need to be taken into account ? In other words, how interference from neighboring cells can be minimized ? What all configuration values can create high interference between two LTE neighboring cells ?

EnodeB considers CQI feedback from the UE before creating the transport block.
As per my understanding PUCCH resource allocation is not very dynamic. In this case how UE decide to use a specific MCS (Modulation and Coding Scheme) while using PUCCH channel ?

At the high level I understand LTE nodes and signalling but want to learn in depth. I read one statement saying " MIB information is scrambled with antenna specific mask". Now I want to understand if an eNodeB supports multiple antennas (saying two antennas) , known as MIMO, then in that case, does an eNodeB sends MIB information into two different frequency spaces ? MIB is transmitted into subframe #0 of each radio frame.
Now I have doubt when we say MIB is scrambled with antenna specific mask before broadcasting and only middle 6 RBs are used to braodcast MIB, then in case of MIMO where multiple antennas are being used to send MIBs. Shall MIB from both the antennas overlap due to same 6 RBs or the same 6 RBs can be used to broadcast MIBs from both the antennas ?
