Though it lot depends on operator policy, but it is inconceivable that carriers will entirely dismantle 2G/3G networks in the near future. Depending on the subscription plan, the carrier can still offer basic services which can be used with an LTE SIM card in an older type of phone.

Is it opportunity for new operators such as Reliance Jio which started in telecom domain from LTE network ? What will happen with existing 2G/3G technologies in which a number of operators have already spent a huge amount of money ?
