Depends upon numerology (sub-carrier spacing). For 15 KHz sub-carrier spacing, 1 slot per subframe and for 240 KHz sub-carrier spacing, 16 slots per subframe.

Yes (note that subframe timing is fixed at 1ms while slot timing reduces with increasing number of slots within a subframe)
