Why PSS,SSS,PBCH are in continuous symbol in NR?

I think in 5G NR, In order to connect to the network UEs need to perform initial cell search.
PSS and SSS are transmitted in synchronization signal blocks together with the Physical Broadcast Channel (PBCH). The blocks are transmitted per slot at a fixed slot location.
To form a SS/PBCH block UE shall assume that reception occasions of a physical broadcast channel (PBCH), PSS, and SSS are in consecutive symbols.

I know that fact PSS and SSS are transmitted at slot zero of first and fifth sub frames of a radio frame. But what is the reasoning behind it to transmit at these particular location ? Is any calculation behind it ?
