LTE: How does eNodeB enforce uplink data rate and what eNodeB does in case when UE is not following the uplink limit ?

This is not a usual case. Assume an eNodeB has multiple bearers (GBR and non-GBR) with the UE, eNodeB enforces subscribed downlink data rate by using the different scheduling algorithm. Can eNodeB reject the uplink grant assuming UE is crossing its subscribed limit ?

Hi vikram singh,

Uplink grant is provided by ENB itself. So UE cant able to cross the Uplink data rate. Enb itself will restrict the data rate and will give grant to UE. So there is no point that UE will exceed Uplink data rate. UE can use maximum of available grant given by ENB. Same like DL scheduler ,ENb will have UL scheduler to do this job.

I don't know the complete use of CQI at eNodeB. Does it impact only downlink scheduling parameters or also considered while granting uplink resources ?

EnodeB considers CQI feedback from the UE before creating the transport block.
As per my understanding PUCCH resource allocation is not very dynamic. In this case how UE decide to use a specific MCS (Modulation and Coding Scheme) while using PUCCH channel ?
