Following things need to be supported by an eNodeB for the better VoLTE experience by an UE:
- Semi persistent scheduling - Avoid resource allocation at every time. Stick to the location of allocated radio resource.
- TTI bundling - to provide better uplink coverage at cell edge
- RoHC - For the better resource utilization.

Is there any requirement of a configuration (IP Route, IP Path, etc) at eNodeB level for a new UGW (SGW+ PGW + GGSN) addition into existing LTE network?? The network is Huawei.....and if an IP path needs to be defined at eNodeB for this purpose then how it can be defined??

I was going through IMS call flow and came to know that an IP sec tunnel is established between UE and P-CSCF . I could not find out reasoning behind it.
