yum upgrade stuck on Fedora?

Stuck at:

--> Processing Conflict: mutter-3.16.2-1.fc22.x86_64 conflicts gnome-shell < 3.16.1

For more then 2 hours :( How do I resolve this?

Hard to say, since gnome-shell should be in the upgrade set. Your system is in a weird state. I think you will be best off doing a clean install.

Is there a way to force an update/upgrade in yum?

There's one package that I can't get upgraded, and it's driving me up the wall because every time I run an update via yum or yumex, I have to
remember to exclude it: firefox. Here's the results of my latest try:

Transaction check error:
file /usr/lib/firefox/browser/defaults/preferences from install of firefox-22.0-1.fc19.i686 conflicts with file from package firefox-22.0-1.fc17.i686

I tried using swap:
yum swap firefox*.fc17.i686 firefox*fc.19.i686

because the man page said that that was simply a short form of remove/install, but yum interpreted it as an update. Maybe I'll have to download the file and use rpm to do it, but there should be a way to force it via yum.

yum configure to only download one package at a time in Fedora?

I am trying to upgrade my system and through our corporate firewall/network filters/etc, the bandwidth is limited. Today while doing an upgrade, yum was downloading five packages at a time.

Due to the limits, I was running into a under X bytes for 60 seconds restart.

The limit is such that when there are large packages (eclipse) it gets stuck restarting each package over and over until it has run out of mirrors.

I read through the yum.conf man and I cannot find a way to tell yum to only download a single package.

This is on a f20 system and I am trying to get to F23 but I cannot get fedup on f20 to work through our corporate firewall and dnf won't play.

fedora-upgrade is the command that I am using.

Fedora: where does dnf keep its repo configuration or does it use /etc/yum.repo.d?

Where does dnf keep its repo configuration, or does it use /etc/yum.repo.d? Which I see is still there. As I want to change it to
use my local repos.

Is it OK to remove dnf with yum remove dnf from fedora 20

Is it OK to remove dnf with yum remove dnf ? will it cause any problems ?
