A bottle fill of honey weighs 1.5kg and half full of honey weighs 900 gms. What would be the weight of empty bottle?

A lump of two metals weighing 18 gms is worth Rs.87 but if their weight be interchanged, it would be worth Rs.78.60. If the price of one metal be Rs.6.70 per gm., find the weight of the other metal in the mixture.

Answer is 300 grams
Let weight of honey be 'y'
and of bottle be 'x'
So
x+y = 1500-------(1)
x+(y/2) = 900
2x + y =1800-----------(2)
solving 1 and 2 ,
x = 300 grams
y = 1200 grams
