Car A and car B set off from the same point to travel the same journey.

Car A sets off four minutes before car B.

If car A travels at 45 km/h and car B travels at 85 km/h, how many kilometres from the starting point will they draw level?

Car A will travel 45 × 4/60 = 3 KM in 4 minutes
Now the difference in speed between the 2 Cars = 40 KMPH
And the relative distance for Car B to reach Car A = 3KM
3/40 hr = 4.5 minutes.
That means after 8.5 minutes both cars will reach the same distance ie., 45 × (8.5)/60 = 6.375 KM is the point where this happens.
