If both the taps are opened at 11.40 am.
At what time will the tank be filled?

First tap can fill 1/30 of tank in 1 min
Second tap can fill 1/90 of tank in 1 min
Both taps can fill 1/30+1/90=2/45 of the tank or it will take 1/2/45=24.5 min to fill the tank
Tank will be full at 11:40 am+00:24.5=12:04.5 PM

In how much time tap B alone can fill the tank ?

Three tank A , B and C are connected to a tank either to fill or empty the tank . All three together can fill the tank in 8 minutes whereas only A and B can fill it in 12 minutes . In a particular day all the three taps are used to fill the tank , they all are opened for 4 minutes , then A is closed , remaining 2 works for next 2 minutes then B is closed . Finally C fill the tank in 1 minute .
