Find the sum of area of triangle and quadrilateral?

Question

ABC is a right angle triangle with angle BAC=90. Let M and N be the midpoints of BA and BC respectively.
D be a point on MN extended such that CD is parallel to AB. The ratio of the quadrilateral AMDC to to the triangle ABC is x/y.

Now the challenge is to find out x+y.
