A fan will fall or not fall there is two outcome of the event then does it mean fan falling probability is .5 ? If so then 50% fan should fall, whats wrong with the argument?

Probability of the event = (Probability of fan falling + Probability of fan not falling) = 1
= (very very small (increases slowly with time and wear) + almost 1(decreases with time)) = 1.
The 2 outcomes of the event are not equally likely to happen. If this was the true probability no one would instal a fan in their houses.
