M - Mother; D - Daughter; F - Father
M + D = 60
M + x = F
When the mother attains her husbands present age
When M becomes M + x; F becomes F + x & D => D + x
Given that F + x : D + x :: 2 : 1
= (M + x) + x : (60 - M) + x :: 2 : 1
=> M + 2x : 60 - M + x :: 2 : 1
=> M + 2x = (60 - M + x)×2
M = 40
D = 60 - 40 = 20
F = 45 holds good.
