In an ice-cream parlour, the price of 5 cones and 4 sundaes is Rs 243.00, while the price of 6 cones and 1 sundae is Rs 141.50.
How much do 3 sundaes cost?

5 cone + 4 Sundae = 243 ----- (1)
6 cone + 1 Sundae = 141.5 ----- (2)
Lets (2) × 4
24 cone + 4 Sundae = 141.5 × 4 ------ (3)
Now (3) - (1)
19 cone = 566 - 243
cone = 17 ---- (4)
Sub (4) in (2)
17×6 + Sundae = 141.5
Sundae = 141.5 - 102 = 39.5
And 3 Sundae = 39.5 × 3 = 118.5/-.
