You are hosting a party within an hour and you have 1000 bottles of wine to offer your guests. But unfortunately you found out that one of those 1000 bottles have been poisoned.
You have 10 rats at your disposal to check if the wine bottles are poisonous or not. (Assume that the rats can drink any amount of wine). Also the poison in the wine takes an hour to kill. At most how many bottles can you save given the situation and how ? Is it possible to identify the bottle with the poison with the help of the rats ? If yes/no justify.

you can save 900 bottles by giving each rat 100 bottles at the same time to test. Since the party time and reaction time is the same, it is not possible to find out the exact bottle that is poisoned under normal circumstances.

There is a way that can lead right to the poisoned bottle ie., 999 bottles saved.
