Consider we need to choose 5 balls out of three different color buckets. Each bucket has all balls of same color as bucket. Assume each bucket has infinite balls.

In how many ways balls can be chosen ?

Thanks in advance !

Each ball can be chosen in 3 different ways and choose of one ball will not effect other ball. So number of ways would be 3*3*3*3*3 i.e. 243.

permutations will be 243. how to calculate combinations ? Manually it comes out to 21.
e.g. aaabb and aabab are same.
Combinations will not apply in this case as we can choose ball one by one.
