Let's present age of son=x
Then present age of mother=y=4x....... (i)
5 yrs back
(y-5)=9(x-5)
(4x-5)=9(x-5)............From (i)
X=8
Y=4*8=32
Ans Mother's present age is 32 yrs

Thirty-two. Her son is eight. Five years ago, she was twenty-seven, and her son was three.

What is the present age of the mother ?
Other option, 'Mother' would be a boys name as stated.
