Your spouse wrote you a shopping list. It goes like this.

Don't forget your items!

You see the note has gotten wet from the rain, and now the first and last letters of each word are incomprehensible. You know each ? is one letter. What are the items on the list, if each ? represents the first and last letter of the words around it?
