The Great Dictator
The Great Dictator was based on Adolf Hitler. Chaplin and Hitler were born 4 days apart. The film was Chaplin's first full "talkie" and was nominated for 5 Oscars, including Best Picture, Best Original Screenplay and Best Actor.
