44.725 km/h (27.79 mph)
The figure is the average rate Bolt set between the 60 and 80 meter distance of a 100 m sprint in the IAAF World Championships in Athletics, Berlin. He covered the 20m distance in 1.61 seconds. The 37.58 km/h speed was Bolt's time for the full 100 m. The rate of 48 km/h is a sprint measured for a domestic cat.
