Kutari
The River Courantyne and the river thought to be its source at the time, the River Kutari, formed the border between Suriname and (then) British Guiana until 1936. A dispute over the boundary since then has not been completely resolved. The other three rivers mentioned are in the region of Suriname's eastern border, with its neighbour France (French Guiana)., a disputed area also still not completely resolved.
