What are major differences between NoSql and RDBMS ?

I recently came to know that mongodb doesn't support when we use it for banking transaction software system,is it true? if yes then what other nosql databases that we can use instead of sql database?

NoSQL databases also have a structure to store data, but these structures are less strict as relational schema, so it became a better choice to some applications.

It's important to say that NoSQL databases are a complement in database field, and not a replacement for RDBMS.
