What is a difference between S1 AP release and ERAB Release command

ERAB Release command is used by MME to release a bearer or set of bearers for an UE towards E-UTRAN, while S1AP release is related to release of S1-link for UE. When S1-link is released for an UE, it's state move to RRC-IDLE from RRC-CONNECTED. In other words, UE Context is deleted once S1 release procedure gets completed.

I found two MME UE S1-AP IDs i.e. MME UE S1AP ID (Mandatory) and MME UE S1AP ID 2 (optional).
I got why mandatory one is present but what's use of optional one.
