Why do we use ob_start()?

Ob_start used to active the output buffering .When output buffering is on all output of the page sent at one time to the browser ,otherwise sometimes we see header errors.

Do we have any users of Php say 5.6 on a FreeBSD 10.3 system installed from ports?
