To utilize eMBMS services LTE has provided dedicated subframe for MBMS services. These dedicated subframe for MBMS are called MBSFN subframe. These subframes will not carry unicast(normal) data. To receive eMBMS and normal data simultaneously is completely Implementation dependent at UE.

MBMS data is broadcasted irrespective of UE has requested or not for it. UE start reading MBMS data if it is interested in that MBMS service. So if UE supports both data simultaneously from MBSFN Sub-frame it can read MBMS data and from normal subframe it can read normal data.
