My new phone was running on 3G but from last one day it now shows LTE instead of 3G. I am not a techie so don't know what it is about and how it is possible.

Also how long it will remain on LTE.

Assuming that you are not a techie so I will try to answer in non technical language -

  1. Assume that your phone have a 4G-LTE connection but your phone is running on 3G then simply restart the phone. It should come back to the LTE if you are in dual area which has both 3G and LTE-4G.

  2. In case you don't have the 4G connection (you took 3G connection from service provider) but your phone supports LTE then the only possibility is that you are in LTE-4G zone for time being which does not support 3G. And as soon as you move out to the area which has 3G service availability then your phone will move back to the 3G.

We need to consult to one of our client about location of LTE sites with the objective of reducing the number of sites to deploy and ensure QoS to users.

Can someone suggest some reference material?
