Usually SPS needs an reliable transmission. Most of the ENB supports SPS with QCI 1. This doesn't required more BW. So no use of MIMO in SPS. transmit diversity gives more reliable than MIMO.

In LTE, MIMO technology is used to get better throughput but for 5G there is a new term Massive MIMO. Does anyone know about it ? Thanks in advance !!!

DCI 1B is used to enable MIMO with single Rank indicator, but if it is single Rank indicator then how Ue recognize multiple receiving signals.

For Downlink - 2*2 and 4*2 MIMO configurations, Which one gives better throughput and why ?.
Both have 2 receiving antennas.
