Can UE reject the HO command received in RRC reconfiguration?

+1 vote

If ENB is giving HO command in reconfiguration , for some reason UE wants to reject. Is this valid behavior ?

Yes ue can reject rrc reconfiguration. If ue rejects rrc reconfiguration then ue needs to send rrc re-establishment request to enb.

I agree with Veer. UE triggers RRC re-establishment procedure towards eNodeB (either source or target cell) and it includes re-establishment cause. As per specification, possible causes for re-establishment can be reconfigurationFailure or handoverFailure or otherFailure. UE will choose appropriate cause according to on the going procedure.

Hi , this is not an HO failure case , UE rejected the RRC reconfiguration which has HO command.  Why UE triggers re-establishment ?Reestablishment is triggered if HO failure but above scenario is not an HO failure, it is HO rejection from UE.
i wanted to know after HO reconfiguration rejection does UE still camps on source cell?

Yes, it's a valid behavior because offered QOS by enB can be negotiated one , so this can be the one of the reason that ue reject HO command msg

why eNB sends rrc reconfiguration to connected UE when we add or modify inter frequency for SIB5 on eNB
As i understand, UE reads SIB5 after reading paging in idle mode. Why RRC reconfig is required at this time ?

During attach procedure, UE sends "Attach Request" along with "RRC Connection Setup Complete", eNodeB sends "Attach Accept" along with "RRC Connection Reconfiguration then why UE does not send "Attach Complete" along with "RRC Connection Reconfiguration Complete" message ? What could be the reason for defining the messages so ?
