How to calculate no of bits/bytes can be transfered in one resource block? and parameters should consider?

Hi,

As you we are aware that RB is made out 12 subcarrier and 6 or 7 Symbols based on Cyclic Prefix.

i.e 12 * 7 =84 Resource Element for short Cyclic Prefix
12*6 = 72 Resource Element for Long Cyclic Prefix

So , Assuming Short Cyclic Prefix= 7 Symbols
16 QAM = 4 bits

for short cyclic Prefix= 84 Resource element
So no. of Resource element = 12*7=84
total no. of bits
84 * 4= 336 bits (as we have assumed 16 QAM)

The parameters we consider are

  1. Cyclic Prefix
  2. Modulation Scheme.

Hi,

Only MCS is enough is to calculate no of bits per RB. 3Gpp spec says each MCS will have corresponding TBS(36.213 - 7.1.7.1) then each TBS and no of RB will have corresponding Bytes(36.213 -7.1.7.2.1 ) can send.
