5G, LTE : What is content caching and how it is going to be achieved in LTE network ?

Now and days, people are talking about various features that are going to be implemented in LTE network under the umbrella of 5G.
I heard so many terms but one term "content caching", I could not understand completely. I understood content caching at the networ edge can avoid network congestion for a popular content. I want to know, how it is going to be implemented for the LTE network ?

LTE, 5G: What is connection less LTE network and which all nodes will be impacted/changed due to this concept ?

I went through a web material which was talking about connection less LTE network in which control place will be dis-aggregated from the user plane and data plane will not use GTP-U protocol. I want to know, after removing GTP-U from data plane, will there be any impact of existing procedures like UE state transition between Connected and IDLE states.
