Instances when sports came into conflict with Politics or Virtual Sports

In the today’s world, it's difficult to not catch wind of politics issues or games wherever you are. Regardless of whether its contention encompassing the upcoming election debate or Stephen Curry and the Warriors odds are, you'll catch wind of games and politics issues more than you wish amid the normal day.

Here is some list of examples when sports and politics conflict.  Whatever the reason is, the player gets criticism one way or the other.

1. St. Louis Rams: Hands Up

4. Billie Jean King: Equality for women

The prize money for the women's Tennis has increased due to her defense. Helped to create the first union of female players. Of course, she is remember to crush Bobby Riggs in the "Battle of the Sexes".



5. Robbie Rogers: The first gay athlete in American professional sports.

Playing the game with the Galaxy Los Angeles in May 2013, he turned into the primary first gay man to contend in a major American professional sports league.



In the above I explained, what happens “when Sports and Politics came into conflicts” and below what will happen when “the Virtual sports and Real Sports conflicts”?

Indian off-spinner Harbhajan Singh tied knots with actress Geeta Basra on October 29th, 2015 which has been trending worldwide currently. The wedding was a Gurudwara wedding in Jalandhar which was kept private. The 35 year old cricketer married his love after a long term relationship.

Harbhajan and Geeta, who has acted in several Hindi and Punjabi films, had five years of courtship before their marriage. The couple will host a reception in New Delhi on Sunday, November 1. Sachin Tendulkar was present on the wedding day while celebrities like Shahrukh Khan, Amitabh Bachhan and Priyanka Chopra can be expected during the reception.

3. Shaun Tait and Mashoom Singha

Australian speedster Shaun Tait met Mahshoom Singha, a highly successful model from India during the IPL 2010, and then got married. According to Mashoom, they met at a after party during the IPL, where she was doing a fashion show. After that they kept bumping onto each other and one thing led to another. The couple got married in Mumbai on June 12th, 2014. Thy are now settled in Adelaide, with Tait going on with his cricket and Mashoom currently runs an event management company.

4.  Mohd Azharuddin and Sangeeta Bijlani

In 1994, Mohammmad Azharuddin was rumoured to be having an extra-marital affair with Sangeeta Bijlani. The two met at a commercial shoot for the first time in the early 90’s and they continued to meet one another at public functions. Azhar finally divorced his wife Naureen which made matters serious. The right handed batsman finally tied the knot with Bijlani in 1996. Presently, they are divorced but are often seen in public places together.

5. Mohsin Khan and Reena Roy

In another Indian, Pakistani couple hitched story, Mohsin Khan, one of the stylish Pakistani batsman of the 1980s married Reena Roy in 1983. Mohsin was one of the few cricketers who tried their hand at acting and succeeded somewhat. He quit cricket to prolong his acting career and did around a dozen of Hindi films and even won awards. Their marriage though didn't last long and the two divorced.

6. Mansur Ali Khan Pataudi and Sharmila Tagore

The marraige of Prince Pataudi and Sharmila Tagore was a filmy marriage like no other of that time. The iconic cricketer married the legendary actress on on December 27, 1969 after four years of courtship. People doubted the marriage and placed bets on how long it would last, but the couple proved everyone wrong as they lived happily ever after. The nawab did not stop Tagore from carrying on in showbiz, but supported her. Infact Sharmila Tagore gave most of her hits after marraige and motherhood. Their marriage lasted a lifetime before Mansur Ali Khan Pataudi passed away on September 22nd, 2011. The couple has three children – Saif, Saba and Soha.
