They have both won gold medals while representing two entirely different countries Daniel Carroll played rugby for Australia in 1908 and for the USA in 1920. Akakida Kakhiashvili (using various names including Akikios Kakiasvili) represented Georgia in weightlifting in 1992 and Greece in 1996 and 2000.
