A toad is laboring hard to climb up the marshy wall of a deep well. He manages to climb 3 yards during day, and while resting at night slips back 2 yards. How many days will he take to complete his task of scaling 30 yards?

28 days.
At the end of the 27th day he has climbed 29 yards (26 + 3). During the night he slides back to 27 yards.
On the 28th day he reaches 30 yards and walks away.
