In an street, two ladders are placed crosswise. The lengths of these ladders are resp. 2 and 3 meters. They cross one another at one meter above the ground. Now the question is what is the width of the street?

From a point on a bridge across a river, the angles of depression of the banks on opposite sides of the river are 60 degree and 45 degree respectively.
If the bridge is at a height of 9 meter from the banks then find the width of the river?
Assume both the banks are at same ground level.
