B=velocity of boat=3km/hr ;;;; R=velocity of river=2km/hr ;;;;;;

U=upstream velocity=B-R=1km/hr ;;;;;;; D=downstream velocity=B+R=5km/hr ;;;;;;;;;

Speed=Distance/Time ;;;;;;;;;;;
Time=Distance/speed ;;;;;;;;;;

Given distance =10km

Total time= time upstream +time downstream
= 10/1 + 10/5
= 10 + 2

``````             ==== 12 hrs
There is a large fresh water reservoir that has two distinct drainage systems - small pipe and large pipe.
Six large pipes can drain the reservoir completely in exactly 12 hours while six small pipes will take 18 hours to drain the reservoir.
Can you calculate the time that will be taken by 6 large pipes and 6 small pipes together to drain the reservoir?
