What Is The Minimum Cost To Make The Chain ?

There are 5 metal rings... I want to join them and make a chain as shown in the image.

Metal Rings
It involves cutting and welding(joining) the metal rings.

Cutting the ring cost $10 for each cut. Welding the ring cost $2 for each join. What is the minimum cost to make the chain ?

Minimum cost of making chain is = 24

becoz we break first ring and put second and third in first then cost = 10+2 = 12 $
now break fourth one and put previous chain and fifth cost = 10+2 = 12 $

                Total minimum cost  = 24 $
