Best answer

First number + second number
replace this by
first number * (second number - 1)

4 + 2 = 4 * (2 - 1) = 4
5 + 3 = 5 * (3 - 1) = 10
6 + 4 = 6 * (4 - 1) = 18
so
8 + 6 = 8 * (6 - 1) = 40

Ans is 40
