Jane is now "x" years old.
Sam is now "y" years old

"Four years ago, Jane was twice as old as Sam."
x - 4 = 2(y - 4)

"Four years on from now, Sam will be 3/4 of Jane's age."
(3/4)(x + 4) = y + 4

y = 8 and x = 12

Jane is now 12 years old

Before 4 years,Jane's age=2X
Sam's age=X
After 4 years,Jane's age= 2X+8
Sam's age=X+8
Given After 4 years Sam will be 3/4 of Jane's age.
3/4(2X+8)=X+8
By solving,X=4
Jane's present age=2X+4= 12
