Everyday a peasant must pay the king one pound of gold and leave it on a collection plate in front of his house. Every morning a guard comes by to make sure he has put a pound of gold on the plate. The king collects the gold every six days from the plate. If the peasant only has one six pound block of gold, how can he make only two parallel cuts and still follow the kings rules each day?

A worker is to perform work for you for seven straight days. In return for his work, you will pay him 1/7th of a bar of gold per day. The worker requires a daily payment of 1/7th of the bar of gold.
What and where are the fewest number of cuts to the bar of gold that will allow you to pay him 1/7th each day?

I am tied up at least once a day, and forced to carry ten nails.
I work diligently without any pay, and follow your many trails.
I do not smell very well,
But at least I have many eyes.
I have two tongues but never yell,
And I'll bet you know my size.
What am I?

A mixed packet of nuts contains 1 pound of walnuts and 2 pounds of Brazil nuts. It costs exactly $2. A packet containing 4 pounds of filberts and 1 pound of walnuts costs $3. And for only $1.50, you can buy a mixed packet of 3 pounds of almonds, 1 pound of walnuts, and 1 pound of filberts.

How much should you pay for a mixture of 1 pound of each of the four kinds?

Use the digits from 1 up to 9 and make 100.

Follow the rules.
=> Each digit should be used only once.
=> You can only use addition.
=> For making a number, two single digits can be combined (example, 4 and 2 can be combined to form 42 or 24)
=> A fraction can also be made by combining the two single digits (example, 4 and 2 can be combined to form 4/2 or 2/4)

How can we do this ?
