A cube has all its faces painted with different colours. It is cut into smaller cubes of equal sizes such that the side of the small cube is one-fourth the big cube. The number of small cubes with only one of the sides painted is-

Each face of the big cube will be split into 4x4=16. 12 out of 16 will have more than one side painted. only middle 4 cubes will be one-side painted. Total number of them will be 4 per each face, so 4x6=24 small cubes.

I contain faces of different colors
for fun they get mixed with one another
It's easy for them to hang outside their 'race'
but it's quite tricky to put them back in their place
With time and patience it can be done
but to mix them up again is way more fun.
