How much did he get is a little vague. Is it for how much did he sell or is it how much gain did he get? Unless there is some hidden meaning GAIN=(SP-CP)/CP. Since 1150 is to be added to 13600, his cost is 14750 so that 0.05=(SP-CP)/CP or SP/CP=1.05 giving SP=15487.50 inferring a gain of 737.5.

Total cost,13600+1150=14750
5% is 14750×0.05=737.50
