Let L be the total distance
On day 1, she walks L / 5
On day 2, she walks 4 L / 20
On day 3 she walks 12 L / 50
0n day 4 she walks 36 L/ 200
Now 36L /200 equals to 25
Then the total distance is 138,88 miles
But she travelled L/5 , 4L/20, 12L/50, 36L/200
By adding and trplacing the value of L, gives
113, 8 miles answer Aug 9, 2016 by anonymous

d1=X
d2=x
d3=3X*2/5=6/5X
d4=[3X-6/5X]*1/2=9/10X
d5=9/10X=25
Total 5X=(25*10*5)/9= 138.89 miles answer Oct 10 by

Let assume distance is x

First Three days -
x/5 + (1/4)*(4x/5) + (2/5)*(3x/5) = 10x/25+6x/25 = 16x/25 i.e. remaining 9x/25

fourth day - 9x/50

fifth day = 9x/50 = 25

x = 138.89 mile answer Aug 8, 2016
