Mom, Dad, and 2 kids have come to a river, and they find a boat. It is small and can only carry one adult or 2 kids at a time. Both kids are good rowers, but how can the whole family reach the other side of the river

Let
MOM - M
KIDS - K1 and K2.

First K1 and K2 go
K2 comes back
K2 and M switch places
M goes
K1 and M switch places
K1 comes back and takes K2 with him to the other shore
K2 stays there and K1 comes back
Switches place with D
D goes
D switches with K2
K2 comes back and finally takes K1 to the other shore.

1.- The two kids go to the other side. One kid returns to the opposite side.
2.- Mom goes to the other side. The other kid returns to the opposite side.
3.- Both kids go to the other side. One kid returns to the opposite side
4.- Dad goes to the other side. The other kid returns to the opposite side.
