After a further 30 people had answered the quiz, the average number of correct answers rose to six per person.

30 * 3 = 90 questions answered correctly by the first group of 30 people
60 * 6 = 360 questions answered correctly by the two groups of 30 people each
Then the second group of 30 people answered correctly : 360 - 90 = 270 questions
Therefore the average number for the second group of 30 people will be : 270/ 30 = 9
